Slug Report 001: Hotham, Thursday 10/06/21

snow action team 10.06.2021

Here we go our new independent show-it-how-it-is snow reports from local snow spies – Slugskis and others.

If it snows, if it rains, if it shines, whatever it is, we show it how it is on the day (or night!) no fears or favours.

heres 001 – Mt Hotham
Snow has been falling hard on the mountain and it’s all hands on deck as the locals get ready for opening weekend! There’s up to 1 metre of snowfall forecast for the next 7 days with Blizzards and high winds (100Km/h) and at least 10cm coming down overnight. The pow came down heavy and at low altitudes along the Great Alpine Road. Locals are frothing the snowfall and happy to be able to be trade for opening weekend, but are feeling the effects of the 25km travel restrictions imposed by the State government, preventing Melbournians from spending money and providing a much needed boost to the economy in Regional Victoria.
