Did someone say cool MTB tools? Granite Design are your go-to for form, function and fit with their range of essential saviour items that just screw in somewhere handy on your bike. The Stash Tire Plug is the latest to get our MTB and tele ski guru Steve Leeder’s seal of approval.
This is a tool I am stoked to say I have not had to ever use on the trail. YET.
I pretty much now assume I will be using it on my next ride after typing this, but I’m stoked to have it on my bike just in case.
What am I talking about? The Stash Tire Plug from Granite Design.
At only 35grams and hidden in the end of the handle bar it really does feel like it isn’t there, which is perfect. The tool comes with a skinny and a thick piece of ‘bacon’ to repair with, but I stuck in a couple extra cause well, when I pop it’s never small.
There are also 2 different sized end caps for either lock on or open end grips.
I have single end lock on and it’s a bit annoying to take it off but like I said I haven’t actually had to use the tool on trail so no drama really. That being the only fault I could find the STASH tire plug is a definite winner.
