Dope Snow Women Ski Outfit Review
Women’s Faded Violet Snowboard Jacket
This gorgeous medium-weight snow jacket was worn in both bluebird conditions and blizzard conditions in Sun Valley Idaho and Park City Utah. Temperatures ranged from minus 2 to three degrees Celsius.
I wore one base layer under the jacket, my usual habit is to wear one to two base layers under a snow jacket as I tend to run on the cold side anywhere I ski.

What I liked about it:
The colour, the underarm zipper for breathability, the fact that it’s made from re-purposed PET plastic bottles and it is a Bluesign (sustainably produced item). Up close it has a slight waffle look to the fabric (only 3mm x 3mm), I like that it goes all the way underneath my butt as I’d had shorter snow jackets in the past that made my back cold, especially on a chairlift. Waterproofing was good, no problems there in a white out.
What I didn’t like:
I liked most things about this jacket. At a push I would say the jacket is very simple with no bells and whistles and felt a little ‘bad-ass’ in an old money snow resort, like Sun Valley where fancy clothes, fur coats and opulence is the style. This particular jacket would fit in with a young crowd at Whistler or Perisher. Also there is no powder belt under the jacket so if you stack it on the slopes you may get powder under your jacket.

Women’s Blizzard Black Pants
These very simple pants have a relaxed fit (think pull-up tracksuit pants), no zipper at the waist, just an elastic belt and waistband.
What I liked about it:
They felt very relaxed and comfortable to wear, despite having no stretch in the fabric. They felt more like regular pants than ski pants, they were comfortable and warm. I wore one base layer underneath. Usually I tend to wear one to two base layers here too as I don’t like being cold. I was not cold wearing these pants, I really like them.
What I didn’t like: The ankle cuffs were a simple design I wasn’t used to, being a skier. I was used to more ‘bloomy’ fabric around the ankles. These pants I had to physically lean down to make sure my ski boots were covered. The cuffs do have hooks on them to keep them in place, which was good. Once over the boots they didn’t move, which was good.
