Kiroro is Japan’s snowiest major resort.

They get slammed by the Siberian Express systems with an average of 21m plus average snow fall a season! This little pocket of terrain behind the coast between Otaru and Sapporo City just gets more, year in, year out.

With their expanded ski in/ski out terrain you can take full advantage staying on snow there in either of the two great hotels or the the deluxe apartments at the base.

Sapporo Kokusai is in easy half day touring distance when conditions are good, and may be hooked up with lifts to Kiroro as part of the future master plans for the areas.

It gets almost as much snow as Kiroro, and is the snowiest of Sapporo’s main close resorts beating out Sapporo Teine for that (Teine makes up for it on the steepness front though – don’t miss there either).

You can stay in the onsen resort hotels down the valley, or in Sapporo itself with bus services that pick up from major hotels.

Sapporo offers Japan’s best aprés ski and a huge range of accommodation to suit any budget. With such great skiing and deals like these close by it’s well worth checking out as a destination in its own right, not just as a stopover city.

Both Kiroro and Kokusai are only just over an hour from downtown.

■ Usage period: 2021/22 season (business period of each ski resort)
■ How to purchase: At each resort ticket counter 
■ How to use:
* Each time you visit, submit your common ticket at the ticket office of each ski resort and charge your lift card with a one-day ticket.
* If you do not have a lift card, we will keep an additional 500 yen as a card deposit.
* Multiple people can use it, but each person needs a lift card.
