Snow Action Expands to Brisbane!

Queensland snow enthusiasts, GET READY – Snow Action is expanding its footprint directly into Sunshine State as part of the 2027 Snow Travel Expo!

While Queensland is famous for its sun and surf, local skiers and snowboarders are renowned for being among Australia’s most passionate winter travellers. To cater to this fast-growing audience, Snow Action is teaming up with the Snow Travel Expo to bring a dedicated hub of alpine inspiration, expert advice, and exclusive winter coverage to the Brisbane Showgrounds on May 16, 2027

“Queensland powder chasers spend serious amounts of time on the slopes every year. They head south to the Aussie Alps , east to NZ and fly north to access Japan and North America’s winter. Bringing Snow Action directly to Brisbane makes connecting with that passionate community easier than ever. We already run successful Warren Miller ski films all the way up the East Coast, including Gold Coast and Brissie but this new addition to the snow calendar is much welcomed”.

Why add Brisbane Snow Travel Expo 2027?

“Australia’s population has grown 31% to 28 million since we last ran a Brisbane Snow Travel Expo event in 2008.
The population of South East QLD has grown 51% in that time to 4.3 million since 2008 with Brisbane population making up 60% of the state. Melbourne has grown by over 1.5 million since 2008 and now sits at 5.46 million for the city and is on track to become the largest city in Australia. Victoria now has over 7.1.million living in the state.
Sydney is currently the largest city in Australia and NSW the most populated state with 8.7 million residents. Sydney now has a second international airport coming online with passenger flights starting from October 25, 2026. “

• Australia’s skiing and snowboarding population has grown to 1.2 million skiers and snowboarders.
• 84% of the Snow Travel Expo audience are planning to ski internationally and they love to ski domestically in Australia.
• Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney represent close to 80% of Australia’s population.
