Osprey Soelden Backpack Review

This lightweight 32 litre snow backpack is a great addition to the Osprey hiking range. The best aspect is the fusion between light weight material, cushioned back and detailed functionality.

Moulded back

The back is moulded to the wearer’s back with extra cushioning so any hard metal shovel or sharp objects will not piece through to the wearer’s back. It’s also a different colour (caramel) to the rest of the bag (black) for easy identification in an emergency or in low lighting. 

Compartments

The back section has a separate opening so you can keep poles, probes and shovels separate to items like extra clothing, snacks or water. Zippers are caramel coloured as well for easy identification. 

Functionality

This is a snow backpack built for snow hiking and days in and out of the resort. There are straps for clipping your skis on the side of the pack (A frame) and harness webbing for attaching different items.

Lightweight nylon and plenty of strapping means you can pull the starpas right in if you don’t have much in your bag but extends out if packed to the brim. Its a bluesign company, a great nod to taking care of the outdoors when you’re out enjoying nature.
