Looking for a big day out from Wanaka/Queenstown?
The Ultimate Ski Day is being offered by Treble Cone, the South Island’s largest ski area and the closest ski area to Wanaka and 90 minutes from Queenstown Airport. Treble Cone has a reputation for real, aspirational, and fun mountain terrain, and skiing’s most spectacular views. For around $585 AUD ($721 NZD), skiers and snowboarders visiting the South Island can enjoy the Ultimate Ski Day at Treble Cone this winter.
The day starts with a full breakfast and coffee at Edgewater Resort nestled on the edge of Lake Wanaka, from here one of our preferred heli operators Aspiring Helicopters or Wanaka Helicopters will arrive to whisk you rock star style up to Treble Cone, whilst taking in the spectacular snow covered Southern Alps, Lake Wanaka, and glaciers from the air, and delivering that moment when you touch down, climb out, and realise ‘this is real’.
On arrival at Treble Cone, you can select your demo ski rentals for the day, or pick up a snowboard, your RFID pass will be loaded ready to head straight to the lifts and start enjoying the mountain, and when you’ve worked up an appetite or need a caffeine hit, there’s $30 NZD loaded on your card to enjoy in the Treble Cone Café and Bar.
When the lifts close for the day you’ll be shuttled from Treble Cone down to the shores of Lake Wanaka where you’ll be collected by private jet boat operated by Clutha River Jet, to skim your way back to Wanaka, throwing in a couple of jet spins on the way across the lake, before disembarking in Wanaka and enjoying a well-earned après drink at a lake front Wanaka bar.
Minimum of two booked guests required for Ultimate Ski Day. Check it at www.treblecone.com
