We told you Wolf Creek was Colorado’s snowiest sizeable ski area and they sure are living up to that with 34″ / 86cm in the past 48 hours. It’s going off there now!
The storm broke an unusually dry and warm weather pattern seen for the month of November.
The 30+ inch storm improved not only conditions but doubled the percentage of the mountain open to 100%.
The storm elevated the year-to-date snowfall total to 72 inches / 182cm.
Wolf Creek is a great resort for internationals looking to avoid the mega-resort crowds at better known areas.
There’s enough terrain to satisfy anybody and more snow on average than the others too, so why not check it out?
Wolf Creek Colorado lies off the beaten path between Pagosa Springs and South Fork, where it habitually sucks in a whopping 40 feet of snow every year. That’s over twice as much as Aspen. Telluride or Breckenridge for example.
