Victoria’ Alpine Support Program is back to support snow businesses – in and nearby off mountain – following recent lockdowns.
Grants of up to $15,000 are available.
Applications open soon – here are the details, subscribe to their newsletter if you haven’t already done so.
After a record breaking couple of weeks pre-lockdown – just 3 weeks ago we reported on that record surge in visitation – hopefully the ski resorts and surrounding areas can get back on that path even without interstate visitation as the prospects of NSW being let back into Victoria before the end of the 2021 snow season look minimal as Sydney case numbers soar.
Our experience of all these programs, Federal and State/Territory is that it is quite the lottery whether your business is elegible or not. But if it is, don’t miss out on a cent.
Also coming back is the highly popular Regional Travel Voucher Scheme
Victorians will have access to 80,000 travel vouchers valued at $200 each to travel across the state’s picturesque regions, when it is safe to do so.
The latest allocation builds on the success of the Regional Travel Voucher Scheme that saw eager-to-travel Victorians snap up 160,000 vouchers in just minutes.
Information on how Victorians can apply for and use the vouchers will be available on the link here soon so bookmark it people and spend it at the snow!
Alpine Support Program
“The $4.4 million Alpine Support Program will support businesses at Victoria’s six alpine resorts, Dinner Plain, and key businesses located off mountain in the surrounding towns impacted by restrictions and offer a COVIDSafe visitor experience for snowboarders and skiers.
This package will provide businesses in the alpine resorts and Dinner Plain with up to $15,000 grants. Off-mountain alpine related businesses such as equipment hire, transport companies and tour providers may be eligible for $5,000 grants.
Last year’s Alpine Resorts Support Program has already paid 253 grants totalling over $4 million to businesses in Victoria’s alpine destinations, including Falls Creek, Mount Hotham and Mount Buller.
Applications for the Alpine Support Program will open soon.
Please subscribe to the Business Victoria Update newsletter to be notified when guidelines are published and applications open.”
