Kamui Ski Links International Snow School
Kamui Ski Links is pleased to offer international visitors a top quality international snow school under the leadership of international Japanese Alpine snow athlete Takao Maruyama.
Full day instruction for Ages 3yrs to adults – Book online at www.kamui-skilinks.com/international-school/ for a full day or half day private lesson. Full day lessons run for 5 hours, start anytime before 10:30am, and cost ¥60,000. Half day private lessons are 3 hours and run from 9.30am -12.30pm and cost ¥40,000 for a morning lesson. Above pricing is based on 2 people, with the option to add one additional person for an extra ¥10,000.(You must purchase a lift pass separately)

Please meet at the International Ski School desk inside the Kumui Centre building, after collecting your lift pass from the ticket machine. Rental equipment is available, including snow clothing – Note, if renting equipment be early to organise, so you don’t delay your private lesson start time. Ski lockers are located inside the Centre building. There is lunch available for purchase at several locations around Kamui Ski Links.
Bus Transport is available from Asahikawa with pick ups from the train station and major hotels, for current pickup times, cost and options – kamuiresort.com/kamui-access/
Car rental is another great option, from either Asahikawa or Chitose airports.
The Court Hotel is a great accommodation option as it has complimentary transport with all booked lessons.
Takao Maruyama

International Snow School
Takao spent his childhood in Nagano’s Hakuba Valley and learnt to ski as a 3 years old on nearby Happy One. His family ran Hakuba’s Onsen Ryokan and with a professional skier father and an Alpine ski racing sister and brother, there was a huge focus on ski race life growing up. Takao made Japan’s Junior Alpine racing local Hakuba Happo One team as a 21 years old and focused on technical competition from 2001 to 2023, achieving champion status 5 times and second place no less than 4 times. Takao spent 18 years on Japan’s National demonstration team and is a three-time World inter-ski demonstrator, travelling to Switzerland, New Zealand and the USA for competitions. Takao combines his role as Director of International Ski school at Kamui Links with a role as Kiroro Mountain Business Development Director, Grandeco Resort Mountain Supervisor and is Coordinator of Rookie Academy Japan Trainers.
