snow action team 25.04.2019

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort smashed their own record season – set only the previous year – with 715,100 skier visits  for the 2018/2019 winter season. They enjoyed a whopping 505 inches of total snowfall, above average at all elevations, including another new record, for total February snowfall of 193 inches in Rendezvous Bowl. The base area snow depths were at record levels from late February through the end of March.

Jackson Hole is obviously on a roll, as more and more skiers and riders discover its attributes. To help them do that there are some exceptional early bird deals available too from Jackson Hole specialists Travelplan Ski. These include a huge bonus for families – kids to 14 years inclusive ski free! Adults get 10 days skiing for the price of 7, and up to 20% off hotels and apartments.

The success of the season is attributed to many factors including: Jackson Hole’s snow conditions, increased air service, JHMR’s strong guest service initiatives and increased skier days from the Ikon Pass.

Another big factor is the all round, all levels attraction – yes, of course Jackson Hole is famous for the best and most extensive big mountain terrain in America, but the new Solitude Station beginner and family area is one of the best anywhere too, with perfect uncrowded progressive runs to improve on. JHMR has invested heavily over recent seasons to keep improving that all round experience, with a new fixed grip quad for advanced beginner terrain being added for next season.

For families the Kid’s Ski Free to 14 years inclusive at Jackson Hole could well be the clincher for those with a teenager or two on the team. The town of Jackson has plenty of facilities and shopping, so a family apartment holiday for a couple of weeks staying in the Teton Village base is very affordable. You wont get bored – check out the Yellowstone National Park attractions nearby for starters.

“This was a memorable year for JHMR, and I am pleased with the on-mountain experience and level of service our staff was able to provide even during challenging times. Business grew this season due to a multitude of factors, and we have taken great efforts to listen to all of our customers with the goal of continuously improving our operations,” Mary Kate Buckley, JHMR President commented.

Access from down under is one stop easy now, with plenty of flights and great airfare deals to go with the accommodation and ski package specials.

The increasing popularity means it’s a good idea to get on and plan early for both best rates and availability.
