The 2023 Epic Australia Pass is probably the World’s best value ski pass – you can effectively almost ski year round for the one low price of $AUD 899, which is only $USD 620 today.
Did we say ski year round?
Yep, the Aussie season kicked in huge and early at Australia’s 3 great Epic Pass resorts this southern snow season – Perisher, Hotham and Falls Creek – but even in a bad year there is something open from the June LWE and through at least to the October LWE.
For early season snow up north you have plenty of opportunities as the likes of Keystone and Whistler kick in early and kick on late – until May at least. So it’s certainly a pass you can ski every month of the year on.
Which is a fun trivia fact, but the reality of the Epic Australia Pass value kicks in with minimal usage.
For example, just 4 day passes at a major American ski resort will likely cost you more than $USD 620, while you only need to ski 5 days plus down under to be ahead of the $AUD 899 game.
There are plenty of unlimited/no (or almost no) block out day options to use the Epic Australia Pass in America as much as you want, or can afford the time/money to be over there. Like Park City, Heavenly, Breckenridge, Keystone, Crested Butte or Kirkwood.
At their premium offerings Whistler, Vail and Beaver Creek you get a total of 10 days – enough for a 2 week trip to Whistler taking weekends off for example, which many choose to do there anyway.
Japan is another great Epic Australia Pass bonus, with 5 day consecutive passes at Hakuba Valley and Rusutsu – two of Japan’s best and Aussie favourites.
Switzerland joined the Epic Mix this year too, as we reported back in March Vail Resorts purchased awesome Andermatt one of the best and most spectacular ski resorts in this beautiful country. 2022 & 2023 Epic Australia Pass holders get 5 days unrestricted skiing at Andermatt-Sedrun.
Afterwards we highly recommend some ski touring, like this one from Andermatt to Locarno, and the best way to get to Andermatt is on the famous Glacier Express train.
Fantastic as all the northern hemisphere options are, the bottom line for most Aussies is simply unlimited access all season at any of the local resorts included. This is pretty much a no-brainer, and so the resorts have been busy. So plan your trips, plan you ski days – taking Skitube for example for Perisher.
Just $49 up front deposit secures your 2023 Epic Australia Pass at the lowest $899 rate, with the balance due early May 2023.
For Students (up to year 12) it’s $549, for seniors over 65 its $699.
