The Thredbo backcountry is amazing, and pretty unlimited. Sure, Thredbo boasts Australia’s biggest lift accessed vertical, and has no shortage of in-bounds terrain, but that is really just the start here.

Even better, the Thredbo backcountry choices cover a range of terrain that is genuinely suitable for all levels.

New for 2018 Thredbo Backcountry Adventures offer a range of out of resort tours into the spectacular Main Range, you can strap into the snow shoes for a tour around the Ramshead Range or wander longer to the top of Mt Kosciuszko. Ski tourers, head high and make your mark in the chutes and untracked faces of the range.

Whether you are just a curious new comer to the backcountry or a regular rider there is a tour for you. Trips are graded green, blue and black and include guide who will show you the way and share backcountry safety tips.
