Perisher Epic Australia Pass insane value home & USA

snow action team 01.05.2016

Ooops, a deadline passed and it’s gone up $40 but if you’re thinking of heading stateside next winter Perisher’s Epic Australia Pass is still insanely good value at still only $AUD 899. That’s less than the cost of 4 day passes at major US resorts, but you get unlimited skiing at the likes of Park City, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly, & Northstar PLUS 5 days each at Vail and Beaver Creek.

Oh, yes, and of course it’s your full season pass at Perisher at home as well.

Back home after a mega 2 month Ski USA mission we got the lowdown on a lot of America’s best skiing & boarding, and frankly, even if you don’t ski a day at Perisher but ski 5 days in America’s top resorts you will already come out ahead, but of course when you get into USA trip planning you might find, as we did, what the hey, lets go longer and ski more..

Sure our dollar has been down a bit (though on a bounce back at the moment), but in general America is cheap to travel in – we were paying $USD 25 or so to fill the tank of the 4WD beast for example – and 2 normal people can usually share one average American diner meal.
If Park City resort prices for lodging are a bit much stay down the road in Salt Lake City and pay great value city prices for everything, or do similar for Berckenridge and Keystone staying in Frisco or Dillon.

Or get on with the wholesaler early bird deals for bonus free nights and stuff to stay in resort.
Across any budget the Epic Australia Pass just works.
And the airfare deals continue to roll out – the combo of cheap avgas and increased competition with Qantas, American, Virgin Australia, Delta, United all flying direct plus Air New Zealand, Hawaian, Air Tahiti Nui & Fiji Airlines also doing one stop options mean airfares are likely to stay at their historic lows – no kidding, we paid less to get to LA on Qantas then back in 1982 (when you could buy a house for $40,000)!
You still have plenty of time to do the big trip planning, but the longer you leave the pass purchase the more it will go up.
