Harro's Heroes Trevor Peterson

snow action team 02.02.2017

#TBT time with another Harro’s Hero, as we unfortunately get into the late great category of legends who sadly checked out ahead of time but won’t be forgotten, like Trevor Peterson.

My first big ski film production shoot was with RAP films back in 1995, the same year I competed in the World Extreme Skiing Championships in Valdez Alaska. Being one of the few photographers who knew how to shoot big mountain athletes and ski their terrain provided me with some amazing opportunities to work with the best skiers in the world. RAP films with Trevor Peterson and Eric Pehota was the first of what turned out to be over 20 major film projects of shooting stills with the world’s best skiers and boarders that I’ve worked on. Both these guys were some of my first all time favourite ski heroes. I was humbled to have the opportunity to work with them. It came as a major shock to the industry when Trevor was killed the following season in Chamonix, when he was taken out by a small avalanche.
