Big White Ski Resort has received over 30 cms of fresh Okanagan Champagne Powder overnight; due in part to the strong low pressure system that passed through the province of British Columbia on January 11th.  As it sits, Big White Ski Resort has one of the highest snow bases in North America with an alpine snow base of 207 cms!

As of 9:00 am, Sunday, January 12th, Big White Ski Resort has reported 30 cms of snow in the last 12 hours and 35 cms of snow in the last 24 hours.

Josh Foster, Director of Snow Sports commented: “ In the 10 season’s I’ve spent at Big White this has got to be top 3.  Although the snow report says 30cms, its skiing more like 50-60cms and still unbelievably light and fluffy.” He continued by saying: “ To have a base of over 207 cm is absolutely incredible, the skiing and riding all over the mountain is fantastic! ”

The skiing conditions have been favorable all season thus far at Big White Ski Resort and this recent dose of beautiful Okanagan Champagne Powder has further solidified why Big White is globally recognized as a world class winter playground.
